Our methodology

Editorial Policy

Our goal is to help businesses compare receptionist options using consistent criteria and clearly sourced provider information.

How providers are evaluated

Our comparison framework considers core call handling (25%), automation and integrations (20%), price and value (20%), ease of use (15%), business flexibility (10%), and transparency and support (10%). Affiliate compensation receives 0% weighting.

Source standards

We prioritize primary sources such as provider pricing pages, product documentation and published terms. Material facts such as prices, included usage and plan features should be verified before they are presented as current.

No invented facts

If a material fact cannot be verified, we do not estimate it simply to complete a comparison table. Numerical editorial scores should not be published until there is enough evidence to support them.

Updates and corrections

Software and service pricing changes frequently. Pages may show the date information was checked. When we identify a material error or outdated claim, our policy is to correct it rather than preserve an obsolete ranking.

Commercial relationships

Some providers may compensate Hire A Receptionist through affiliate or referral programs. Those relationships do not determine editorial placement. See our Affiliate Disclosure for additional information.
